REGIONAL CAMP FOR PROVINCIAL SWIMMERS
HEY EVERYONE
THANKS TO KATE FOR BOTH THE IDEA AND THE WORK TO ORGANIZE THE FIRST OK REGIONAL CAMP AT THE TRU POOL.
THATS RIGHT, THE REGIONAL CAMP WILL BE HELD AT THE SAME POOL THAT THE PROVINCIALS WILL BE HELD AT.
GET USED TO THE BLOCKS, TURNS AND REGIONAL RELAY TAKE-OFFS WILL ALL BE ADDRESSED AT THIS CAMP.
TEAM BUILDING, SPECIFIC STROKE INSTRUCTION FROM ALL COACHES IN THE REGION WILL BE DONE AT THIS CAMP.

HOW IS YOUR CREATIVE SIDE DOING? WOULD YOU LIKE TO SEE YOUR DESIGN AT THE PROVINCIALS THIS YEAR? WANT TO WIN A 100$ AND THE FIRST T-SHIRT AND CAP? GET YOUR DESIGNS READY AND PLEASE SUBMIT THEM TO KATE, OUR REGIONAL COACH BEFORE THE DEADLINE.
THE LOGO/TSHIRT DESIGN MUST FOLLOW THE FOLLOWING RULES ATTACHED AS A DOCUMENT
Revelstoke 2019 Swim Meet Information
The Aquaducks are looking forward to hosting the Okanagan’s first meet of the 2019 Summer Season on June 1st and 2nd at the Revelstoke Aquatic Centre.

To register for club camping please contact me at david.holland@lpcorp.com. As well there are hotel blocks at the Sutton using the group confirmation #220112 and at the Sandman using confirmation #383227. Thank you to the Sutton and Sandman for supporting our meet!

Important Dates & Information as of May16
Some general information for your family’s calendar:
May 20: No practice, Victoria Day Monday. In the Documents section below, you will find detailed practice schedules for all groups for the entire summer.
May 22: Minimeet. Aquaducks are encouraged to try out their skills before our home meet! All Turtles (Tues crew too) start at 3:30 for a few fun 25 m races. All other Ducks start a team warm-up 4:00 and events begin at about 4:30. Bring an extra towel for between races. Parents are are needed to time the races with a club stopwatch – free instruction available:) All volunteer coaches are needed at the pool at 3:25 to help with Turtles. No official sign-up, just arrive with your suit and goggles.
May 24: The last Friday afternoon practice of the season. Mornings only on Fridays after today.
June 1 and 2: Our Home Swim Meet! Our biggest event of the year, and a significant fundraiser. 150-200 swimmers from the Okanagan usually attend our popular meet. Parent power is key to a successful event, please see the paper sign-up sheets outside the pool main doors. Thank you Dave Holland for being this year’s Meet Manager. Sign up for this meet on Active (like registration) by May 23rd- there is no entry fee for Aquaducks . Click here to see the Meet Package.
June 8,9: Princeton Swim Meet. Stay tuned for meet package. Entry deadline on Active: May 30th
June 6: Due date for Lumby online Meet Entry. Sign-up is on Active, like when you are registering. Lumby is a fun, low key, outdoor meet. There is usually bannock for sale:) Camping is 100m away at the Lumby Lions Campground (call 250-503-4518 for reservations). Click here to see the Meet Package.
June 11: Your hard working Executive meets at the Rec Centre, 7:00 pm. These meetings are open to any club parent, if you would like to see what we do.
