HEYANYONE INTERESTED IN HOSTING A FUTURE STARS CAMP?
Welcome back to Aquaducks swimming!! Winter Maintenance will start Monday, October 1st. We are excited to welcome our new Head Coach Madi Wheeler and assistant coaches Kenzie Cretelli, Mistaya Duhamel and Laura Rybak.
Please remember that before your Duck can enter the pool insurance fees of $20 per swimmer must be paid and we must have your volunteer deposit cheque of $75 per family. If your child swam in the summer their insurance fees have already been paid. Members of the Executive will be on deck to collect the fees and to answer questions. If you are not yet registered, please click on the big red button to the left of our home page.
Swimmers are welcome to enter the pool change rooms 10 minutes prior to their practice time and the Aquatic Centre staff ask that they do not enter the water until directed by their coach. Within a week or so, swimmers will be issued a photo id card that they need to scan before they enter the pool for each practice. Parents are welcome to watch practice from the viewing area. The Aquatic Centre staff ask that after practice is over swimmers leave in a timely fashion. Those who want to stay in the pool must pay the usual swimming fee at the front desk or scan their personal pass.
On Saturday, October 6th, we will be having a bottle drive fundraiser at the Bottle Depot, starting at 9:00 am. Participating families will be chosing routes to take, and collections will wrap up by noon. It takes a few hours to sort, and we usually have everything tidied up by around 1:30.
If you have any questions, please contact any board member or send a note to firstname.lastname@example.org
October 8: No practices on Thanksgiving Monday
October 9: Your hard working Board meets at 7:00pm at the Rec Centre. Any Aquaduck parent is welcome to attend.
October 28: A few of your hardworking Board members travel to Penticton for the OK regional meeting
Great news for the OK Region. The BCSSA championship provincial meet will be held at the Kamloops Canada Games Pool on August 10-17 2019.
Please click on the big red button to the left to register for the Fall Session.
All new members welcome! This program is an excellent introduction to swim club. The winter Maintenance program is a wonderful opportunity to make new friends, have lots of fun and improve your swimming skills.
- Please note that this session involves a single fundraising activity to help keep registration costs low. $75 Fundraising cheques are to be dropped in the Blue Box outside the pool entrance before your swimmer gets in the pool (Oct 1st 2018). Optional fundraising activities may include bottle drives and sorts, washing rental towels, and Save-On Foods cards purchases. Fundraising cheques will not be cashed if your fundraising requirement is met.**
